Refunds

Eligibility

Refunds relate to fees paid under a signed engagement letter for audits for fintech (compliance audits, operations reviews, safeguarding assessments, or pre-licensing readiness). Website enquiries carry no charge.

Timeframe

Written refund or cancellation requests should be sent to hello@webservicesroute.digital as soon as practicable. We respond within five business days with the applicable calculation.

Full or partial refunds

If you cancel before fieldwork or evidence sampling begins, we refund fees paid minus a scoping fee reflecting hours already spent preparing the engagement letter and document list, unless the letter states a different deposit treatment.

If sampling or walkthroughs have started, fees for completed stages remain payable. Unused stages may be refunded or credited at our discretion according to the letter.

Non-refundable items

• Agreed non-refundable deposits stated in the engagement letter
• Travel and lodging already incurred for scheduled on-site days
• Third-party bank confirmation fees paid on your behalf

Deposits

Acceptance deposits secure calendar time. They are applied to the final invoice. Early cancellation may forfeit part or all of the deposit as specified in the letter.

Rescheduling

You may request one reschedule of on-site or workshop dates with at least seven days’ notice without an additional fee, subject to availability. Shorter notice may incur a rescheduling charge for committed associate time.

No-shows

If key client contacts miss agreed workshops or on-site sessions without timely notice, that stage is treated as delivered for billing purposes and is not refundable.

Work already started

Hours spent on evidence review, sampling, drafting, and workshops are billable. Partial refunds never include those completed portions.

Purchased materials

We rarely purchase materials for clients. If the letter authorises specific purchases (for example courier of working papers), those costs are non-refundable once incurred.

Refund process & method

Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within fourteen business days of approval, or by bank transfer to an account you nominate if the original method is unavailable.

Exceptions

If we withdraw for independence or conflict reasons before substantial fieldwork, prepaid fees for undelivered stages are refunded. Statutory rights under Taiwanese law that cannot be waived remain available.
